Our Story
QNMU Law traces its roots back to the establishment of Roberts & Kane Solicitors in 1949. Over the decades, Roberts & Kane built a legacy of trust by guiding individuals, families and workers through legal challenges with clarity and care. Working closely alongside the Queensland Nurses and Midwives’ Union, the firm quickly emerged as a leading voice in legal advocacy for nurses and midwives.
As the legal landscape evolved and the scope of our work grew, so too did the firm. This growth led to a new chapter and a new name – QNMU Law.
Today, we proudly provide comprehensive legal services not only to healthcare workers but also the broader Queensland community – offering legal advice with the same trust, respect and support that has defined us for over 70 years.
Our union work
QNMU Law (formerly Roberts & Kane Solicitors) has a long and proud history of representing nurses and midwives on behalf of the Queensland Nurses and Midwives’ Union.
